While many things have changed this year, one thing has remained the same: my commitment to your safety and health.
I want to reiterate my commitment in maintaining the same level of caution as if I still had the work space to keep you and myself safe. Henceforth, I will detail the outcall protocols we ( you, the client and I, the LMT) will be following and requiring:
- I will communicate with you beforehand to ask questions about recent fever, COVID-19 symptoms, and possible known contacts who have been diagnosed with COVID in the past 14 days, for both the client and anyone else in the household.
- On the day of appointment, the client will prepare the room in which the service will occur ahead of time. Preparation would include cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces with EPA-approved products, including the tables, chairs, light switches, and doorknobs. Open a window and, if available, place a fan in the window pointed out so that the airflow is directed out of the room. Lastly, if possible use client’s sheets.
- When I arrive at your home, I’ll wait in my vehicle until you text or call me to come in. This ensures that we don’t have too many people in the work area at one time.
- Before approaching the door. I will put on my mask and apron which I will wear the entire time and won’t remove it until after I leave.
- I will greet you at the door and use a no touch thermal temperature screening to confirm that you don’t have a fever.
- I’ll ask you if you have developed any symptoms of illness since we spoke on the phone. If you feel ill on the day of your session, there is no penalty for canceling your appointment. Massage is not advised if you have any symptoms of illness.
- Please use a face mask once during the time I am there and during massage.
- I will ask you to sign an informed consent form, if you have not yet signed, that states, “I understand that close contact with people increases the risk of infection from COVID-19. By signing this form, I acknowledge that I am aware of the risks involved and give consent to receive massage from this practitioner.”
